PICTURE:
After much shopping and inquiring I have found that making the decision to purchase the Sharp 37 inch lCGD6U was the right choice. The picture is the best that could be possible. Bright, sharp, vivid & almost real is the only way I can describe it. A little more costly then the others but you get what you pay for. quality is worth it
INSTALLATION:
Like the picture the appearance is of the highest quality. Have looked at all of them and nothing compared like the sharp. Was even happier when I got it out of the box. What a seset!
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
Very basic and easy to use.t Just sit back and enjoy. I must add that Sharps tech staff is also the best. I had some routine questions after installing to make sure everything was right. They are extremely helpful.

PICTURE:
I think the quality of picture in the LCD display can be summed up in just one word: INCREDIBLE. The images are crisp and the colors are rich, if you have seen one on display at any electronic store, you will know what I am talking about. You can put this tv near a window (or any light source) and the picture will not lose any quality. On top of the high quality picture processing engine that produces such great images, the ASV low-refelction black tft lcd panel provides any onlooker with wide-viewing angles and high contrast images. Besides the basic tuner composite, there are a total of 4 A/V inputs. The EDTV (enhaced definition) capability feature allows for viewing progressive dvds and also lets you choose from 4 viewing modes, so if for some reason you do not appreaciate widescreen, you can always switch the viewing mode. No matter what input, be assured that the highest quality image will be presented. Besides the technology mentioned above, there is also the Qu! ickShoot technology feature which optimizes the response time of the viewing panel when there are fast moving objects displayed. Furthermore, for you video game addicts: because the panel uses liquid crystals, it prevents from images being 'burned on', which means you don't have to worry about damaging the panel when you want to play video games. Combine the great graphic details, the 'no worry' attitude and the 60,000 hour lamp, one will definitely want to play for even more hours.
INSTALLATION:
As with any LCD display tv, one will fall in love with its sleek and space-saving design. It will pretty much make any room that you place it in look much better. The tv comes standard with a stand and a detachable swivel base which allows the tv to rotate 25 degrees to the left and right, 5 degrees foward and 10 degrees back. I am confident that this will accomodate any viewing angle. I personally think it looks excellent the way it is: sitting on its stand.
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
I definitely loved the (2) 5 watt built in speakers with the 1 bit audio amplifier. Talk about excellent audio quality. The remote is, surprisingly, not complicated at all. Unless you are still using a remote control that is more than 10 years old, you will have no problem figuring it out. All the buttons are arranged in a sensible manner. I especially liked the 'freeze' button, which allows you to freeze an image on the screen. This comes in handy when you want to test out the viewing modes: dynamic(fixed), standard, movie, and game. I personally prefer to keep it on dynamic, which offers the highest quality images. There are six categories in the menu option: sleep timer, av adjust, preset, closed caption, v-chip block, and set up. The sleep timer keeps the display active and is available in increments of 30 mins. (120 mins max). The AV adjust has two sub menus for 'audio adjust' and 'video adjust'. The audio adjust lets you regulate the bass, trebel, bala! nce and dolby. The video adjust lets you fine-tune the picture, tint, color, black level and sharpness. The preset menu enables one to arrange the display with a prearranged setup so that they may alter it to their preference.

PICTURE:
I do not have this particular TV at the moment, but am leaning toward getting one. The Sharp appears to have the best picture of all of them. It also has all the inputs necessary to have the use of a DVD player or VCR or any other toy you could think to attach to it. The adjustments appears very easy to change from one attachment to another, and the signals come in very precisely
INSTALLATION:
It is an extremely good looking LCD. It will be installed in a bedroom with cable as we live in hilly country and cannot get a signal without cable. The picture speaks for itself and named appropriately - SHARP
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
As I have observed and has been demonstrated in varies stores, and by people I know who have this set, this Sharp LCD does have an easy to understand remote and easy to understand menu for an outlandish array of options to input into your TV. It certainly is my favorite. I have a Samsung, but would prefer the Sharp. I am a widow and so am rather inept at these things as you can probably deduct by now. I am learning and studying hard and everything I have learned about this and other LCD's, have come to only one conclusion - the Sharp comes out on top in every aspect.
