- Samsung 192MP LCD TV Review
-----CUSTOMER INFORMATION-----
Name: Z Bigniew
Location: Masier
-----PLASMA TV INFORMATION-----
Manufacturer: Samsung
Model: 192MP-Silver
PICTURE:
The viewing angle of this LCD is amazing, it is several times better than on my previous television. Viewing the screen at an angle does not result in a darker color at one end - this effect was shown in my previous LCD television - where one side of the screen would become very dark, and in some instances black, which was very distracting. The default color reproduction is very good - it is comparable to the high end televisions and much better than previous models i have seen in this price range. The 1280x1024 screen resolution is the same as on my previous LCD tv, i have no idea if this is good, but the images look very crisp.
INSTALLATION:
I personally, did not purchase this television for how it appears, i think it is butt-ugly, and assume many people would agree with me. The tv's casing is a cheap looking silver coated plastic, which the paint chips off of fairly easily, on the top left corner, above the actual display is a Samsung logo, in black, but worst of all are the actual controls on the tv, they are arranged in a circle, and are the only source of *bling bling* on the tv. They are shiny, and very close to each other, so from a distance the tv looks like a (not so shiny) silver rectangle with a black box in the upper 5/6ths of it and on the bottom a tiny shiny circle. I have this television installed in my living room, on the wall, hooked up to a playstation 2 system. When the tv is hooked up to a wall all the cables have to run out the side and under it, which doesn't look so pleasant. The built in speakers are ugly, but they perform fairly well.
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
The RCA and S-Video ports are thoughtfully located directly at the side of the panel. This location is very easy to access and is especially useful for the headphone input. From a practicality standpoint, this is the best location for the A/V inputs yet. While it doesn't bother me, from an aesthetics standpoint some people have not liked the AV cables jutting out the side and ruining the symmetry of the screen.

- Samsung HP-P5071 50" DLP TV Review
-----CUSTOMER INFORMATION-----
Name: Howard Zhao
Location: USA
-----PLASMA TV INFORMATION-----
Manufacturer: Samsung
Model: HP-P5071
PICTURE:
With this 4th generation unit. The picture quality is much better. Al thought, it is still a little "cool" as normal setting. Change to "warm 1" setting seems much natural in general. Both SD and HD signals performed well. DNIe should be off, it will only introduce more noticeable artifacts for SD signal.
INSTALLATION:
With the new bezel and thin frame, it looks much better than the old one. It gives you more high-end look. It come with the table top stand and makes a very good stable install and look. It is very quite, especially compare the other and the 3rd generation units. As part of promotion, it also come with a floor stand as well. It is very nice looking and functional stand. The only problem with that kind of stand, you will waste all the space under the unit.
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
Menu is well organized and functional. It is a bit slow on response via remote, but not anything far from other units. All the settings are individually to each input, except the DNIe witch will only turn on or off for all inputs. Overall, it is a very well designed and quality product.

- Samsung HLP4663W DLP TV Review
-----CUSTOMER INFORMATION-----
Name: E.C. Hill
Location: Port Orchard, WA
-----PLASMA TV INFORMATION-----
Manufacturer: Samsung
Model: HLP4663W
PICTURE:
I've had the Samsung HLP4663 for about a month, and am pleased with it, especially with HD signals. The picture is uniformly bright, clear, and sharp. The blacks aren't perfect, but I can live with 'em.
It's connected to an HD cable box via an HDI cable, and to a progressive scan DVD player via a composite cable.
I've tried connecting the cable box via a component cable (which came with the TV), but I didn't notice any difference in the picture. The DVI cable made no difference either.
I've tried connecting the DVD player with a component cable and an HDI cable. Neither one worked - one resulted in a blue picture and the other in lots of visual noise. My local cable company told me that "this model HD cable box doesn't always work with anything except composite cables" even though does have jacks on the back for DVI, composite, and component outs.
INSTALLATION:
The display is in a light-filled living room, on a low bench with a window behind it, a set of french doors to one side, and another window facing it. We will be purchasing room-darkening shades for the facing window. The set is bright enough for daylight viewing in all conditions except when sunlight from the facing window shines directly on the display.
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
My biggest (and only) disappointment is that I couldn't program the new remote to control either the cable box or the DVD player, even though the DVD player is also made by Samsung. I haven't spent the time to figure out why yet. Also, some of the menu items for the display only work if you connect the cable directly to the back of the display, which I chose not to do. But these are minor issues. Overall, this display is terrific and well worth what I paid.
