- Fujitsu P42HHA30WS Plasma TV Review
-----CUSTOMER INFORMATION-----
Name: Matthew Horwtiz
Location: California
-----PLASMA TV INFORMATION-----
Manufacturer: Fujitsu
Model: P42HHA30WS
PICTURE:
On HD the picture was flawless. Colors were immaculate and precise. Blacks and reds (which was explained to me that they were the most difficult to recreate) were pristine. Also, the motion was a little smoother that the others I was considering.
On DVD, using a Denon DVD3910 (you said to be precise so I asked for model numbers) the picture was also, great. The Pioneer looked really good on the same signal, but again, to me it looked fake. Also, edge detail was very smooth. I did notice a little blurriness ( which was later explained to me as artifacting) so I turned down the sharpness to -5 and that fixed the problem.
Standard TV, it looked blurry up close and was not very good. From far, I believe that it was comparable to the others; but I was not going to be watching much standard TV. I bought this for DVD's and HD. Little standard TV
INSTALLATION:
I have installed it in my bedroom at home on a tilt mount. It is approximately 6 - 12 inches from the ceiling and about 12 feet from where I am sitting (laying in bed) TV looks really clean and I like the fact that when I get the surround sound, I am not going to have any remaining speakers around the TV that will not be being used. All wired are run through the wall.
PLASMA FUNCTIONS:
I am only running a single component video to the TV that I switch between my sat box and DVD player until I but the surround sound system. The sales guy I bought the TV from explained to me about video up-converting so I only used one cable. I am currently using the Fujitsu remote, but I am going to buy a universal remote. I am considering a Universal Remote MX800 and a Phillips TSU7000 (any suggestions)?
