The Sharp LC-30HV6U AQUOS™ Liquid Crystal Television combines a glossy, clear-coat finish with a widescreen 30" Advanced Super View panel1 that is HDTV-compatible (720p) and PC-compatible. The AVC System, a separate box that houses all terminal connections, minimizes clutter around the panel itself, preserving the clean look which is ideal for wall-mounting. The LC-30HV6U also includes a 1-Bit digital audio amplifier for superb sound.
All the new AQUOS models feature the latest state-of-the-art ASV (Advanced Super View) panel, and the widescreen models are outfitted with Sharp’s proprietary QS (Quick Shoot) technology to increase the pixel response time, which effectively reduces the visual lag inherent in fast-motion scenes, creating a cleaner, crisper movie-viewing experience. The improved panels also feature Sharp’s proprietary "Black TFT" low-reflection coating which cuts down on the glare from bright-light conditions. This means that no matter where the TV is placed, the picture quality will not be affected by a window or skylight. The sets all boast 170-degree viewing angles for exceptional picture quality from practically anywhere in the room, creating a larger seating and viewing area. AQUOS TVs also feature an enhanced contrast ratio and extremely high brightness, providing blacker blacks and vivid, crisp color with brilliant quality and clarity, for exceptional viewing in any lighting condition.
The LC-30HV6U features a 1-Bit digital audio amplifier and detachable speakers located at the bottom of the screen, offering you more design flexibility when placing the set in any room. Setup is easy thanks to an elegant table stand that completes the TV's sleek design. With the included stand or optional mounting brackets, the widescreen AQUOS televisions can be hung on a wall, placed on a bookshelf, or put almost anywhere imaginable in the home.
Perfect for the family room or an intimate home theater setting, the LC-30HV6U allows viewers to enjoy impressive full-screen images from wide-format video, seeing movies as they were intended with widescreen format, Quick Shoot technology, and WXGA resolution. This LCD TV also suppourts 1080i/720p resolution so you can enjoy sparkling HDTV programming with an optional HDTV tuner.
In addition, both new 16:9 AQUOS models include an upgraded Audio Video Computer system (AVC system), which is a separate unit that houses the component, S-Video, and computer (PC) inputs, thereby reducing the cable clutter around the panel itself for a clean, stylish look. The new AVC system is also equipped with a DVI-I input capable of High Definition Content Protection (HDCP) protocol, which ensures compatibility with next-generation high-definition set-top boxes, making the new AQUOS the perfect solution for today and well into the future. In addition, the AVC system includes Sharp’s second-generation Computer and Video Integrated Composer (CV-IC II) System which provides state-of-the-art, proprietary video scaler circuitry that upconverts standard signals to the native HD resolution of the televisions.
