Key Features of the Sharp LC-22SV6U 22" LCD TV Monitor

Sharp LC-22SV6U LCD TV

Sharp's latest 22" AQUOS model is a natural in any environment where looks matter as much as performance. The sleek, elegant design complements your home decor while the widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio lets you view DVD movies as they were meant to be seen! One key addition to the LC-22SV6U is Enhanced Definition TV (EDTV) capability, which lets it display a 480p signal from a progressive-scan DVD player. When you're watching non-widescreen material, you can choose from 4 viewing modes that range from standard 4:3 with vertical bars on the sides, to stretch and zoom modes that fill up the screen.

Convenience Features

You'll find a total of 4 A/V inputs for your video sources, including one component video input for maximum picture quality from your DVD player. Of course, one of the things that makes AQUOS TVs so popular is their super-thin design — at just over 3" deep, this 22" TV can easily be mounted on a wall using optional brackets (see "Recommended Accessories"). The LC-22SV6U weighs just over 20 lbs. and includes a built-in handle, so you can even carry it from room to room.

LCD TVs have other advantages, too, besides portability and flexible placement options. Unlike a standard tube-type TV, an LCD TV doesn't use an electron gun, so the display isn't susceptible to distortion from a nearby magnet (like a speaker). And with LCD panels you never have to worry about an image "burning in" permanently — great news for video game fans! The long-life lamp in this Sharp TV is rated for 60,000 hours — that's the equivalent of viewing 8 hours per day, every day, for over 20 years!
