Pioneer PRO-1000D plasma / flat screen tv
There are currently 3 current models of Pioneer plasma displays, the differences are as folows:

The Pioneer PRO-1000D replace the previous PDP505HD model. Improvements include a higher contrast a brightness level. Introducing Pioneer's top-of-the line professional use plasma tv, the consumers highest-level display performance.
- The Pioneer PDP-502MX is an older model and has been discontinued.
- The Pioneer PDP-503CMX replaced the 502MX. The new model produces less heat and operating noise has been reduced. There have been slight improvements in the contrast ratio as well. The 503CMX is classed as a commercial model.
- The Pioneer PRO 1000HD is classed as a consumer model and is essentially the same as the 503CMX. The bezel on the PRO 1000HD is a contoured, thick, high gloss finish whereas the 503CMX has a thinner charcoal bezel. Other than that, no difference. The picture quality, glass and electronics are all identical.
- The Pioneer PDP-5030HD is a new model with a TV tuner box included. The plasma also comes with a table stand and speakers that attach to the sides. There have been slight improvements made to the contrast ratio also.
The Pioneer PRO-1000D Plasma Monitor offers options to suit virtually any application. This new model produces less heat and reduced operating noise. Although it is a 50 inch diagonal display, it is surprisingly lightweight at 88lbs. 14oz. And one of the slimmest available on the market. It has a 160 degree viewing angle that can be viewed from almost anywhere.
