The CMP4211 (Black) and CMP4212 (Silver) Hitachi Plasma Television models serve a broad range of uses, from home theater to commercial display and trade show presentations. This new Hitachi plasma television delivers excellent images at an extremely affordable price point. The HDTV resolution, 1024 x 1024 Progressive Scan output creates a sharp, detailed image with any type of input content. A high contrast, anti-reflective glass shield increases the contrast range and creates a visual "Pop" to a plasma television picture which even rivals more expensive HD panels.

Key Features of the Hitachi CMP4212 42" Plasma Monitor

Hitachi Plasma Technology

Video Card Option
Add an optional video card for Digital Video Processing, format selectable video inputs, and 3/2 pull down for NTSC and HDTV. With Hitachi original technology and seamless integration, the ultimate plasma display for the multimedia experience is here.

Life Extension Control
The display's useful life is programmable to convert peak brightness into extended periods of usable display time. Select from several options to maximize the return on your investment.

Monitor ID Bit
Control up to 7 plasma panels independently with one remote. The "ID" Identification Bit technology provides an easy way to control, adjust and monitor individual plasma panels by assigning them a discrete code.

RS-232C Interface
Use this port for 2-way communication with the plasma. Ask the plasma panel for it's current status and change the performance on-the-fly through RS-232C and a compatible control system. System compatibility includes all of the major control manufacturers. A convenient loop through hook up capability simplifies installation.

Screen Savers
Utilize orbiting and wiping technologies to refresh the screen after extended display sessions, dramatically extending the working life of the plasma TV display.

ALiS Plasma Display Technology
Plasma screens typically surround each pixel with a waffle-like cell structure that creates non-picture boundaries around the pixels. They reduce the illuminated surface area of the screen and produce a very noticeable grid pattern across the picture. The screen surface of an ALiS display is comprised of continuous vertical channels of phosphor material. Pixels are defined electronically instead of physically. Each picture element is also reduced in size for a significantly higher pixel density. The result is a smooth, seamless canvas on which the picture is displayed.

VirtualHD 1080p Digital Video Processor
Hitachi’s proprietary video processor ensures that the incoming video signal is a perfect match to the high- definition capabilities of the display. For 1080i HDTV content, the signal is passed directly to the display where the image is reproduced line-for-line without vertical scaling (1024 viewable). All other video signals are converted to 1,080 progressive lines—twice the display speed of HDTV. The additional picture information enables the processor to make extremely accurate determinations when optimizing the signal for display. The result is significantly smoother diagonal lines and curves making even the finest details sharp and crisp.

Designed for Extended Lifespan
In addition to the significant duty cycle benefits that ALiS technology provides, the 42-inch Professional Plasma Series offers a host of customizable life extension options to optimize performance and further improve the life of the display. The increased output of the ALiS panel provides enough brightness headroom to enable two menu-selectable life extension modes: The remote can store up to eight discrete ID codes for control of separate plasma displays—ideal for making adjustments in applications where several panels are used in close proximity to each other.
