- Hello, I have an LG 42" Plasma. Two lines of pixels are out so the retailer is going replace it with a new unit. However they are out of the exact model, so they want to replace it with a "High-Altitude" model for no charge. I live in Chicago (ie not much above sea level) Could you please advise, are there any possible adverse effects of using a High Alt. plasma in a low alt. environment. Many thanks.
- What are the altitude restrictions of most Panasonic plasmas? I live at 8200 ft. and I am interested in mainly the 42" TH series.
- If I were to buy a high altitude plasma tv would it work at low altitude also?

At any altitude above 6250 ft, one will want to consider models designed for lower atmospheric pressures. Pioneer and NEC both offer models that can operate at your altitude in Mexico City.

The Panasonics are rated around 6250 ft. At 8200 ft I would suggest looking at NEC plasmas or LCD or DLP.
