- HOW DO I REPLACE A BROKEN SCREEN AND WHERE DO I GET IT FROM.
- I want a plasma that will work well in a conference room. It will mainly be connected to a computer and have still graphs and numbers. I want to make sure that all the numbers are very clear. I am debating on whether to get the HD version of the Panasonic 42 or the normal. Which should I go with the HD? If I did not get the HD do you think that I will be disappointed? Thanks, Bill
- I recently bought the TH50PHD6UY. I have a DVD player using the DVI module, and a laser disc hooked up to it using the s-Video. However, I cannot seem to get the Xbox GamePlayer to work. The Xbox has RCA video/Audio output cables. I bought a RCA to BNC connect adapter so I could feed the video into the BNC Video IN. However, I cannot get a picture. What do I need to setup so I can see the video from the Xbox Game player? Thank you...
- I've been looking at the TH-37PWD6UY and the TH-42PWD6UY, is the only difference the size of the display? If they are electronically identical except for the 42 inch diagonal size to the 37 inch diagonal, the 37 inch unit fits my room better Thanks, Ernie
- I purchased the TH42PWD6UY. I have my DVD player hooked up to the component BNC port with BNC cables(both ends of my cables have BNC connectors)and I have BNC to RCA adapters on the DVD end. My HD tuner also uses component connection only. Can I hook up either the HD tuner or the DVD player through the 15-pin VGA port using a VGA to RCA cable and still have the high quality of the component connection? I am not using the plasma for my PC, so instead of purchasing the additional component port at $100+ can I use a high quality VGA to RCA cable instead and still get the highest quality possible at half the price?
- I have a 50" panny plasma display, prog scan dvd player using rca to bnc cables, NO adapters. PROB:When watching dvd w/high white screen values or very fast motion or large explosions the screen will blink & at times go completely black & text appears in right hand corner of display "NO SIGNAL" Is it the plasma or DVD causing this? When viewing similar content on direct TV w/S-video I have NO trouble. I have tried 2 diff prog-scan dvd players & both have same result. Plasma was new 9-15-03 Please advise..Brian
- With the 50PHD6UY are you able to hook up directly a HD Satelite receiver, DVD player and PS2 with all the hook ups available on the back of the tv
- I have a Sony progressive scan dvd player and a Panasonic th42pwd6uy plasma screen. Both have s-video and component video connectios. Which should I use? My vcr is only s-video or rca and comes from the receiver.
- I have the 50" Panasonic 6UY. I have read that the 16-9 screen is great for letterbox DVD's and Programs. But no matter which format or aspect I use, it still has black bars top & bottom. I don't want to risk burn in, so I try to buy "full screen" dvds. Just how long can you allow those bars to remain before burn in damage starts to occur? Am I missing something in the setup of this unit?
- I recently bought the TH-37PWD6. The only problem I encountered initially was that it was not possible to change the aspect via the Panasonic remote when I was watching digital cable (whether it was a regular channel or an HD channel). I was upset because the full screen images of 4:3 transmissions were very distorted. On page 19 of the manual, it does say that switching the aspect is not possible during 1080 or 750 componant transmissions. Fortunately (no thanks to Panasonic tech support) I found two ways around this problem: 1)There was an aspect adjustment on my(Time Warner)cable remote that stretched the image and improved the distortion significantly OR 2)I found that I could also change the signal via my cable remote from 1080i to 480i or 480p. When I do this, I am able to vary the aspect via the Panasonic remote. My question is this: Am I missing anything by viewing HDTV on the 480 signal? Should I be using 480i or 480p? Or am I better off keeping it at 1080? Thanks.

If the screen is broken, as in the glass, it cannot be repaired. Contact the manufacturer for any applicable warranty coverage.

It will be dependant on the size of the number and text you are planning to display. If it is going to be very small, I would suggest the higher resolution monitors. It will also depend on the video card on your computer. I would suggest changing the resolution on your monitor to match the resolution of the monitors in questions and see if you can perceive any differences.

From your description, it appears as if you have both the S-video and composite plugged in at the same time. On the Panasonics, when both inputs are used, it defaults to the S-Video. You will have to unplug the S-video connection if you want to use your composite input for your X-Box.

They are the same other than size with one exception, the 37" has only 2 expansion slots while the 42" & 50" have 3.

Yes, the PC input can be used as the component input and have the same excelent signal.

I have not heard of this problem before, I would suggest contacting Panasonic's technical support as you are under the manufacturer's warranty.

If you want to connect all of them via component cables, you will have to install the optional component board for three component inputs.

I would suggest using the component from the DVD player and composite (yellow rca) from the vcr. The S-video does not look as clear as it should on the Panasonic.

Try pressing the aspect ratio button on the remote. Also, purchase widescreen DVDs and not the fullscreen. Fullscreen is 4:3 ratio and will display the black bars on the sides.

Since HD signals are always broadcast in 16:9 ratio, you are not going to give up any resolution by down converting the 4:3 material.
