- i have a fujitsu pds4213. It power's on (green light in corner) but there is no output on the screen. I think it may require a replaceemnt power supply (as this would be the case with a computer monitor - crt), but im not sure im correct and also have no idea on how to source a replacement power supply......please help!
- besides the panny/glass models what are the top 3 or 4 models for having goods blacks, as I am sci- fan and the blacks are extremely important to my viewing. I am considering 50 inch Hd plasma. thanks--Michael
- Bought a fujitsu 4233w two years agon and now getting as error code which I am told is a video board and will cost 1500 to 2000 to repair. Is this normal for these sets. If I fix the set what is the probability of future problems should i just go to another manufacture. i am not at all happy with the response from fujitsu this far!
- I have a Fujitsu 4242 that I purchased in 2002. It has been great until now. In the last 2 days, the screen suddenly appears with green blobs in it and after about 10 minutes goes out completly. If I turn it off and wait about an hour it comes back nicely then starts again. This happens only when on Satellite, not on On-air viewing and it only happens on the Plasma, not on TVs in other rooms viewing on satellite. The satellite is operating correctly. What is wrong with it? Thank you, Kathy
- I have an old Fujitsu PDS4203 plasma monitor, with resolution of 852x480. Is this monitor capable of displaying HD television? What will happen if I connect a HD set-top to it that is set to output 1080i output mode? eg -Will a portion of the bottom of the screen be cut off? In using this monitor is there any real benefit to paying extra to my cable provider for the HD set-top or will the normal set-top provide an input that is just as good, since my display doesn't have 1080 lines? Thanks for any info you can provide.
- I get "out of range" msg when using DVI. When using component cables, video comes in perfect. When using the DVI cable, I get a picture for about 4 seconds then blanks out and get the msg "out of range". How can I fix this problem?
- I have a Fujitu ED 42 Plamsa. I paid 12,000 for the setup (all equipment). Unfortunately, I am getting a green and pink line that moves up and down by plasma screen. It is not always there and seems to be the result of some interference. Is there anything I can do?
- My Fijitsu PDS-4242W-S has a DVI-D port. Can I connect it a DVD player with DVI connection. Some say DVI-D (w/o HDCP) only works with PC not DVD via DVI.
- I have a really old Fujitsu PDS-4201 plasma TV. It has seen about 10,000 hours of use. Over the past two months, I have noticed a dark band on the top and bottom of the screen. Is this burn-in? Is this permanent?

I would suggest contacting Fujitsu for technical service or repair.

Panasonic and Fujitsu have the highest contrast ratios. Panasonic supplies the glass to JVC and Fujitsu in now in conjunction with Hitachi.

Unfortunately, video boards can go out over time as with anything electronic. I typically recommend buying extended warranties with plasmas just for this reason. The cost of most warranties are far less than the average repair cost. I would check with Fujitsu on the warranty since their new models come with a 3 year parts and labor warranty.

I would suggest calling a service technician since it should be covered under a 3 year warranty.

Any EDTV can display an HDTV signal; however, it will downconvert it to 480p from 720p or 1080i. None of the image will be lost, just be lower resolution.

You may be trying to play an HD signal through a DVI input that is not HDCP compliant. If your DVI input is HDCP compliant, I would check the signal broadcaster. If it is not HDCP compliant, you will have to settle for component for HD broadcasts.

I would contact your dealer or Fujitsu for warranty service.

It depends on the DVD player. Some will have HDCP encoding and some will not. I do not recall if that model has HDCP encoding on its DVI input.

It does not sound like burn in unless you have been displaying a dark band across the top and bottom on the screen for a prolonged period of time. I would contact an authorized service center for advice.
