Panasonic TC-P50GT30 Review Page 2
Value Rating: 9/10
At $1709 from our recommended resellers the TC-P50GT30 represents a very good solid value considering picture quality, 3D future proofing (keeping in mind that the glasses will cost $ in the future), skype, Viera Connect, and Viera Cast Internet suite. Included also is a Wifi dongle for easy Internet access – a nice accessory to not have to purchase. Competition comes from the Samsung PN51D7000 and the LG 50PZ950 in the plasma realm. Other competition in LED-LCD TVs is also present.
Overall Rating: 8.9/10
Calibration Notes: Our calibrated picture settings can bring this TV to life and make it surpass most on the road. Reds appear slightly oversaturated at times but we prefer this to the very color deflated picture with the THX, Standard or Cinema mode settings - and you will to. Give them a shot. Follow our picture settings closely:

Processor Testing: Panasonic has not improved upon or corrected deficiencies in the processing chip sets for the GT30. For a near top tier TV it should test better in this area. The main issue was wobbling instability during the Film Resolution Loss Test and no effort to remove judder effects when panning. Overall the Panasonic GT30 scored an Average to Good Result in these tests.
